You have no idea about the origin of the song!
This is native CANADIAN song. It was taken over by Macedonians in the 18th century from aboriginal people from North America who immigrated on the Balkans during the otoman empire. No body knows about this, but one day, the truth will prevail and the world will find out how Macedonians had stolen the Christmas and this song from Saskatchewan and Manitoba!

It's Macedonian folk song

Every Bulgarian can understand Macedonian language perfectly well and vice versa, this has to ring some bells...
..+ every Bulgarian knows what "chini" means but it's not used anymore cause it's old-fashioned.

@Charodeiski SINCE YOU DO NOT HAVE YOUR OWN HISTORY DO NOT STEAL BULGARIA`S AND GREECE`S HISTORY ! DO NOT USE THE WORD MACEDONIAN FOR SOMETHING WHICH IS A PRODUCT OF FYROMYAN COMMUNISM !!!

Why are you talking to me? Was I talking about Samoil? No. Was I talking about Basil II? No.
Are you mentally sane? Go away please.

@tinkerbell10109 HEY COMMUNIST, IF TSAR SAMUIL WAS A MACEDONIAN TSAR WHY VASSILI 2 WHO DESTROYED HIS STATE WAS CALLED Βασίλειος Β΄ Βουλγαροκτόνος ??? WHY VASSILI 2 WAS CALLED VASSILI 2 BULGARIANKILLER NOT VASSILI 2 MACEDONIANKILLER ? COME ON !
Very good effort. The Dutch tend to struggle pronouncing 'ch' in chini & chiflikot, but otherwise great effort.
As for the origins of this song...It is Macedonian of course ;)

Of course we have things that are the same, but is so stupid to quarrel about that. I am afraid that if these things continiue we may get to stupid war. Think about that before insulting again.
I think this is GREAT MACEDONIAN SONG and it doesn't matter is it come from macedonian area in bg or from Macedonia. Be proud of the folklor we have, because it is the same and it is great!!!
