We dont use those annoying sirens in NY...Must not be manditory...Personlly I think it is better without the siren...

They clearly turned the siren on and used the airhorn when approaching an intersection. I'm not sure about the sate that this dept is in, but most states require a device that produces intermittent tones automatically (ie, siren) to be on whenever the emergency lights are on...
