Corvettes, which had been slowly gaining weight, went on a diet for 1980. Lightened roof panels, an aluminum differential housing and crossmember along with a thinner hood, windshield, frame and door panels all contributed to the cause. Federal government regulations entered a new era of absurdity with the requirement of a speedometer limited to 85 mph. There was no limitation to the top speed of the Corvette. • why havent kit car builders built copies of these using more modren running gear?

  • IS IT FOR SALE ?? AND HOW MUCH IT ?

  • I have had a 1978, and currently a 1980. The headlights never were in sync..no problem. But, you have to remember these cars are getting old, and one should expect repairs.

  • The Corvette-logo on the beginning of this video is reversed of the correct one -check the one on the hood of the car in the video.

Is the movement of the headlights vacuum-driven? Is it a sign of a problem is they are not "in sync"?
