@AMYuntold Jesus Christ, dude, I was only fucking joking. Of COURSE this engine was important, and of COURSE it's what got us to the present. I was just making a tongue-in-cheek observation that these graphics don't look all that great in comparison to the graphics of, say, Unreal Engine 3. Maybe you ought to stop taking things so damned seriously?

@SergeantLuke If i were next to you right now, i would force you with guns to recode that stuff from scratch while you'd have to constantly laugh shouting "detail where?" or i pull the trigger. Laughing on the achievements of the past is not fucking funny. It's not computer stuff alone, EVERYTHING is being done at faster speeds, higher efficiency nowadays then before. All this is possible because all those people did what they did back then. It's fucking much detail from 0's and 1's moron.
