well its being almost two years now and cayenne is still kicking and screaming. she ended up making 338hp and 310tq at 12pds. the ka was built by jeff beezer from www.theengineshopinc.com in upper darby, pa. the ka was built to with stand over 30 lbs of boost all day. currently she is running of the wastegate spring at about 7 lbs good for 275 hp and 270 tq. did i mention this s14 is a daily driver.

it is the october car for the www.nicoclub.com 2008 calender. and also its the cover car to www.240sx.org if your interested in the full build. type in kaleo55 on the nico forum search bar.

on last thing to answer everybody question why we did't have a downpipe connected there is a simple answer for that. "IT WAS THE FIRST TIME WE STARTED THIS FULLY BUILT ENGINE, AND WE WERE BREAKING HER IN". and no it didn't melt the master cylinder.

if you want to see my other crazy drifty things just search " jdmwill "

  • are you fucking stupid? backpressure hurts spool. heat and exhaust flow aid spooling... the expansion of hot gasses aid spooling.. the "car needs backpressure" myth is fucking stupid.

  • wow dranoboy, i really could tell how well you know turbo ka's or any car for that matter. for your info the reason it shut off was due to to it not having a tune. it was running the stock ecu, 750cc injectors, no piggy back or rom tune. by the way you don't need back pressure to keep it running.

  • @z3r0zx1 the turbo actully does not spin in the reverse direction it actualy chops up the air going back in it to make that fluttering sound

  • Who the fuck said back pressure aids spooling? Seriously, you dont want the backpressure to slow down the turbo, thats why you get a BOV to remove the backpressure so you dont fuck up your turbo, Turbo's like to move one direction, not two.

  • @xXTurboEGXx because turbos make there own backpressure. they generate the most in higher rpms. those drag cars are constently hitting high rpms gear after gear. they run like shit if u drive it like a normal car cuz ur not letting run full out that inturn creates backpressure

  • @nj3ndri if you say so.....

  • @mikeymike4g63 N/A motors need backpressure...not much but they need it

  • do you guys realize how many drag cars run a tiny 1 foot pipe straight from the turbo? and there usually making the low numbers on the strip so that prooves you dont need back pressure....

  • Backpressure hurts spool, if in excess.

    Such as full stock exhaust.

There needs to be a small amount of backpressure to hold HEAT.. so your theory is off dude.

There are always compromises in exhaust and vaccuum.

Turbos generate some backpressure at high RPM, but not low.. so Spool time is NOT effected till then.

Good vacuum can be accentuated by a small amount of backpressure to increase cylinder filling as the exhaust pulses on opposite cylinders create VACCUUM even during exhaust.

  • dude this was like three years ago. and the car runs perfectly fine to this day. still has the same master too.;)

  • I think its really dumb that you have no downpipe on there at all. Also on a first startup, you should take it easy.

btw, get a heat shield for the BMC NOW!

  • makes the turbo sounds better tho but bad run a down pipe
