Jumping the Pi..No bridle or Saddle!

yeah, so we got bored again...and thats never good. So we got Pi out and started jumping him with no bridle or saddle over about 3'4"...lol..fun fun...

Wonderful job! I show the upper levels on the jumper circuit and can for one say, there is certainly a time to relax and have fun on your horse. So he was a little fast and maybe your equ wasn't PERFECT but you were still well balanced on him and didn't hinder his movement or jumping at all so theres no harm in that. SO fun to watch! Did you say he is a Morgan? Most of my jumpers have been warmbloods or OTTB's (more affordable) but my fav horse ever is my Morgan mare who does 3'9 courses for fun

aw, thanks! And, yes, by no means am i trying to present a perfect ride..lol..that was not the point of this. it was just for fun. He is indeed a purebred Morgan. I love him! he has always been so willing to do anything I have ever asked him to do..he is so tolerant! lol. He did amazingly well at the morgan Nationals this year too! I was so proud of him!!

umm...i didnt really specifically train him to do it. I just tried one day and he did. But it was after i had put years of work on him. He is VERY responsive to pressure, so that helped a lot. And he also loves to jump..lol..so, it wasn't very hard to get him to do something he has a passion for. And, yes, he looks very similar to Spirit. I had a young student call him that because she couldnt say his real name..lol

okay are u seriously trying to critique someone that has no bridle or saddle????!!!! i mean it looks really hard to slow down a horse brideless. of course she isnt going to look perfect! i would be falling off!!! so i think u should just go away. the horse did look a little fast but who cares?! it wasnt like he was out of control.

And, I know he is small, but unlike a lot of kids who have money coming out their parent's asses and can get new horses every two years, I am, once again, not one of them. He was a long term investment purchased 7 years ago that has served his time and won some pretty major awards...I plan on competing him one last year in the Morgan Show circuit and then giving him a nice retirement as a walk trot mount for my neices...no upgrade for me...he is as upgraded as they get..

thanks...but I really just dont care about my heels when I messing around...In the saddle they are fine, but bareback, we are both there to be relaxed...

well...the jump with the standards is about 3'3"...the ciderblocks is lower(you see I say about...give or take..) And, we were just messing around...I wasn't looking for an equ critique...props to people who care about what they look like 24/7, but I'm not one of them...I like to relax and have fun. And, I will agree, he was a bit strong, but I think he did a damn good job for being bridleless..and it was my first time to ride him without a bridle, so props to him for being responsive
