I can't believe anyone would criticize this music and especially Barbara Polka by Lenny G and the Band. These guys are top shelf musicians. How do I know? Try duplicating their "licks" on this number. I have been trying for 30 years to play as well as Lenny or the sax player and I'm not even close!!

Wow, I know I showed up a little late to this party, but you have NO idea what you are talking about. Seriously. Rock and Roll was on its death bed when hip hop breathed some new life into it. Furthermore, unless you're from Chicago and were at the Omen or Polonia Grove or Yorkville or the Sabre Room in the '70s, your opinion is like teets on a bull...USELESS.

You dont get in the ipa toady for talent you get in if you have the bucks just like that matts polka jets band,what a joke they are, they cant play worth anything and the singer cant sing, and the ipa calles this great stuff?? NOT!!!!!

No one is saying they are bad musicians its the style of what they are playing is bad, polkas were never writtin to be played slow and sloppy and niether were the obereks, do some research duci and you will find that out,, your push pull bands ruined polka music just like rap killed rock & roll, just because its a new style does not make it right, polkas today are just like rap, they all sound the same.

I agree with you duc, it is not my style.I think the young will forget how polish music was once played, thats my only beef. I wish some of these bands would at least play some "old style" seems all polka bands sound the same today-and they want a more commercial sound--you can understand that? You see there is no truth when it comes to how someone feels about a song or band. Either you like it or you don't. It's that simple, all of the music degrees in the world don't change that. All I am saying is if you don't like it say "it's not my style" and be done with it. Don't insult talented, award winning musicians. It makes you look jealous.
