Logic does nothing to superstition and magic.

I was listening to a lecture series recently and the guy was talking about roman society around the time of Julius Caeser. He said that, even with the advances of roman society, every woman that made breeding age needed to average 6 children just to MAINTAIN the population, never mind expand it. Even on those figures that would require 18 births per woman to treble the population, add on the harshness of the conditions and the figure is just silly.

You forgot to add that the ark wasn't big enough to even carry every species of ant or that all sea creatures would have perished.The serving of other gods was the reason for the flood.The turning away from the God of Christ.I don't know why you persist in trying to explain away the bible.The bible says you can't understand it without the spirit of Christ within you to give you discernment.There's only one way:Truthfully accept Jesus Christ and ask Him into your heart.He'll explain the rest.

responce on Richard Dawkins, you mention that empathy could possibly be a gene we have developed, hence why we feel bad tredding on frogs! Is there a gene then for faith, hope and prosperity which are possibly the reasons for the rise of Noah and the root to all mankinds success to the now. Surely with the capacity to believe that the minute old "parallell universe theory" makes just about anything possible, even a truly real creator can exist in your world?

Awesome. Thanks for the info.

You don't need to argue that there was no flood. Anyone who believes that is beyond hope anyway.

The first video I have seen of yours. Worth watching and I like your conclusions. Keep up the good work.

Ok :) last comment for the evening. This argument seems like a reductio ad absurdum type of argument. The problem though is that you allow absurd propositions (for arguments sake) but then don't apply those absurdities with logical consistency. For instance the animals going back home, or a 900+ year old man living in the same community that you apply a high infant and childhood mortality rate to? Its just not really possible to make this argument this way imo.

@Uhlbelk
I understand the point you are making here and it has some validity. However, just because someone posits something remarkable - like a 900+ year old man - is no reason not to point out the other remarkable factors that would be required to make the story possible
