He created the best out of nothing. He set up rehearsals despite no NEPA. It still sounded good.

@AfrikanLiberty As early as the 80s, fela already knew about the evils of capitalism, which included forced privatisation and purchase of a nation's resources for peanuts. It appears people who school abroad may not be more knowledgable i terms of academics, but have a better view of the world. As at the 80s, how many nigerians knew the IMF and its programs were deadly?

A great voice for change. It's good that someone of such a privileged background didn't just join the gravy train but fought against the corruption killing his country. Not sure that his lifestyle endeared himself to many people though. I love him, pure charisma.

What they don't teach you about Capitalism is.. Capitalism relies on the Oppression and Exploitation of someone else in order for the system to work.. hence why... THEY NEED US IN DEBT.. peace

Fela was such a brilliant musician! More people should listen to his music...Just fantastic! not only that he used his voice and influence to fight corruption and injustice-somebody to admire! Up and coming bands should use him as an example instead of today's airbrushed politically correct fashion-bands!
