In 1966, the British government secretly sold the US a 50-year lease on Diego Garcia, and the residents were expelled from their homes. Most were left to fend for themselves in the slums of Port Louis, Mauritius. Last May, high court judges condemned as "repugnant" the government's decision to "exile a whole population" from the Indian Ocean islands. Though the High Court of the UK had repeatedly found in favour of the Chagossians, it was only by means of a Royal Decree that the UK government was able to overturn the decision. Thereby many point out that the British Queen is still the most cunning pirate in the world

I agree, we should move them all back to the Chagos. Oh, I have to ask, what will they do once they get there? Is there a market for coconuts from a small, remote group of islands with no industrial base?
