I have an unreasonable and haunting fear that on my deathbed when all I hear is the bleeping of the machines than monitor my inevitable demise I will never go to that beloved place again with my Ridgebacks, never smell it or see it............................
................ This music is that place.

@rsradvan Couldn't have said it better. You remind us all of happier times with your words but the fact is, we can still make tomorrow just as happy if not happier. We just need to try, thats all.

Dedicated to my friend Penny. If there was ever a song that conveyed the feeling of the memories we so briefly shared and how the pleasantness remains in my soul this would be the song-rich, deep and beautiful.

@kpjlaw This is one of my top favorite themes as well, but search out the Champ instrumental theme posted oct 23. Or access it in the playlist noted here. It's right before this song. chuck

@sart90 Very touching movie if you've not seen it. This is one of the few scores by a woman, Rachel Portman, to hit the big time. I've always wondered why film music seems to be a guys only club. I've playlisted 20,000 songs onto 750 lists by artist, year & genre, yet this is one of my top 100 favorites. The quality of Rachel's work here is unsurpassed. My channel is a tribute to such music & great musicians. My lists will play any year since 1900 for you, some as long as 4 hours. stop by. chuck

This song reminds me of my childhood, of warm and hazy summer days, playing around the local creek south of my home in Indiana. Off in the distance, you can see the waves of wheat rolling their tossils in the soft, summer breeze with a faint whiff of wheat and freshly cut grass, as the local farmer is cutting their front yard. It reminds you of home. And every time I listen to this, it brings a tear to my eye of simpler and quieter times when we didn't have to worry about terrorists.
