Comparing a WRX against a Mustang on dirt is like comparing the Mustang against a WRX at a drag strip...

WRX will destroy the Mustang on anything aside from asphalt

Mustang will destroy the WRX on regular roads. Besides 99% of all people don't race on dirt roads.

@ryanabbot1 on what planet is the 5.0 3900lbs? no you should check your numbers, my convertible is heavier than a 5.0 and its a v6 and only 3600lbs

@wihedoserth how is that not a fair comparison...the WRX won? goes do show HP isn't everything. Gotta take into affect: HP, TQ, Aerodynamics, driver skill, tires, AWD vs RWD, weight, gear ratios (shift points), where max HP and TQ are on the RPM band. So much more goes into a drag race than HP. Imagine how badly that stang would get spanked on a dirt track, where WRXs and STis were intended to be raced...

The new 5.0 is a great handling car. Motor trend put it against the m3 and it lost by only .09. That is way better than a sti would do.

Ryanabbot1 that is a high number for a Mustang. My 2010's weight was 3500 and my 2012 is 3600. 3900lbs is too heavy for a Stang that weight is for the Camaro.
