Dancing With Voldo: A Love Story

Just a little combo video I did featuring Voldo of Soul Calibur IV. Not much work put into it. I spent about 3 days putting it all together. Just showing some typical combos, some tech traps, and a bunch of wall combos.

Since I don't main Voldo... I can't really say that these combos don't work anymore but I tried quite a few, such as the first few without the ( --> B, facing opponent ) move and they don't seem to chain together quite as fluidly. Did Voldo drop in atk. speed or something?

@swirlingvortex09 All of these combos definitely still work. His A+B, 66B, 6:6B, 2A+B~236B is his bread and butter combo. Every Voldo player should learn this. It sounds liek you might be inputting them too slow. They should restun your opponent, and not hit them into the ground.

@Enkinfu Hate to ask, but would you mind giving me a rundown of the numbers? I never quite understood the numbers, as you could tell by the first post.

@swirlingvortex09 Sure. That's actually easy to explain. Have you ever noticed the number pad on a keyboard? It's typically set up like this:

In SC terms, we use this layout to explain directional commands. For instance, 1 would be d/b or down/back, 2 would just be down, 3 would be d/f or down/forward. 4 would be back, 5 would be neutral (not doing anything) 6 would be forward, 7 is up/back, 8 is up, and 9 is up/forward. if you're still confused, I have a vid.

I don't know what they did to him in SCV... but he definitely has changed his pace since this video. A lot of these now don't even chain anymore, at least not from what I saw. It was sad, but what they did to Ivy was much worse. At least he has some fluidity in SCV, Ivy practically has none now.

@Enkinfu Yep, I definitely see that. Of course again, I don't main Voldo, so as soon as I play him next time, I'll be trying that out. Still trying to perfect my game with Ivy.

Er.. I think I meant the ( --> --> B) movement. Which ever one has a forward 8-way run in it.
