How a little girl changed our lives for good. This is an example of reflective, personal expression about an imortant lesson learned using digital storytelling.

  • As someone who has some experience with this, I'll offer up this:

    1. The power of the story is the script and your voice. Strip away anything else and you still have something powerful.

    2. Music works great

    3. While your images were mostly fine, I would have preferred more full screen images rather than the oval cropped images with black borders. I'm assuming many of these were scanned and so that makes it difficult but I prefer full screen images.

I'll continue on the next comment...

  • What wonderful comments! Very thoughtful. I greatly appreciate your responses. Scanning pictures is a problem. I need to work on my photoshop skills. Thank you.

  • Thanks so much for sharing.

  • Thanks so much for responding to my video. I appreciate your comment. If you feel comfortable telling me, what did you like and how might I improve the video. Thanks again.

  • Overall, this is an outstanding example and one I'll use in upcoming workshops.

  • 4. I like what you tried to do with the 2 video clips (b/w pushing the boulder and your spinning head) but they seemed a bit out of place. Had you returned somehow to the boulder video, that might have made more sense. The spinning head, while an effective message, was hard to see that you were holding your head, that only became visible once the image was close. Those are just my preferences, not to say they were poor choices, just not mine.
