I've read that not everybody has good experiences using this machine. Does everybode produce prototype and small series in aluminium with Datron? What are your experiences?
We are looking for a compact milling machine(3-5 axis) for around 70'000 Euro who is solid and doesn't have any "theeting troubles"...

@harrelsontrumpets may be you ask the dealer in the UK , coz i ask them before. They just want me to ask shanghai dealer because I am now move to China area.

does anyone have ballpark pricing on Datron machines? I inquired and the dealer sent a rather short almost rude response, but would not even give me a starting number on pricing. Are they $50k, 100k, $2.5 million??? I'm discouraged from working with this company already, but if they are in my price range ($100k), I may consider ordering from a different dealer outside of the US. Any thoughts?

@WilliamTang there are 3 axis ones for 7500 dollars and the advertising is on youtube many times..this one im pretty sure is over 30 grand.... youll see it if you keep watchin videos like this.. and they are perfect for puting it in your garage and doing small works..... ;) hope this helps...

There is chatter marks but that could be avoided with a finish pass. But man, this video and machine is incredible, I'd love to have one of these one day. I can only hope.

60,000 rpm! shit that is incredible, but i suppose for the type of machining these are designed for youd need that sort of rpm to achieve the nessecary surface speed on your tools. Very nice indeed.
