Blue Kite were the last band to set up and record at the old Dungeon Studios with the wonderful Richard Haines. This is from the 10th July 2005. I took my video camera along to document what i could in between very demanding takes. It's a bit shaky and haphazard but does capture the man and his environment. God speed Richard Haines.

  • I just found out Rich passed away, a very sad loss indeed. A true gentleman of music, of laughter, creativity and talent. Thanks Rich for the wonderful times and memories at Dungeon, you remain an inspiration. Tim, thanks for sharing the video.

  • Hmm, I wonder what was in that cigarette he's holding whilst mixing.

    NOT!!!! ;oD

Bless you Richie, you were a legend.

    Much missed...

  • A fitting tribute to the legend that was Dungeon Studios and the incredible man that was Rich Haines. Thank you for sharing this Tim. I have only fond memories of the times I was lucky enough to spend with Rich who was able to completely capture our music most wonderfully. Even our 1st album title was a quote by Rich "Release Yourself"... THANK U!!

  • Jeez.. Rich and Kate...

  • Richard mixed both our CD's and we will miss him.

    Great pair of ears.

  • Thanks so much for posting this video Tim. It's lovely to see footage of Richard at the legendary Dungeon. Frank Fish and the Fins did all their studio recordings at the Dungeon back in the 1980s - the first session when Rich was only 8 -track. Such a warm, encouraging, talented and funny man...great memories and great recordings to remember you by. Thank you Richard....

    Mick (FF and the Fs)
