The Children of Chernobyl - (Local News Coverage Summer 06)

This is a local (News10 Sacramento) story about a Northern California family that had a life changing experience in the Summer of 2006. The Nevada County Chernobyl Children's Project (NCCCP) brings disadvantaged children to live with host families in Northern California for a 6 week health rest-bit from the Belarus area close to where the Chernobyl Nuclear Power accident happened over 20 years ago. Families and their children in this region are still suffering the accident's affects to this day. See how one family received a completely unexpected blessing in a most surprising way. Why are people being so prejudice? So what if an american family sponsors a kid. Sure america is filled with media pigs, but that doesn't matter to that poor girl. All she wants is to be free from all the radiation and to have fun, thats all! So why do people have to drag the fact that Americans are doing this!, because the truth is, you can't fully fix a deformity like that! Theres no cure for cancer! So the best they can do is give her a good time! It has NOTHING to do with the media!

They are wounded souls that have been influenced by a society with an inferiority complex which they have contracted. @scriminamp Actually there is a cure for cancer. Well sometimes not due to excessive radiation or w.e.. So many people are eating meat, cooked food, drinking tap water, etc... We're lacking nutrients and we're poisoning it. And your body doesn't just need minerals and vitamins, it needs living food. Which contain enzymes, and I don't even know. If you're talking about medical cure, then yes, there is no cure

We are not perfect, but at least we (Americans) try our hardest to get it right. The Russian Government didn't care about human life, and consistantly lied to their own people during the crisis. Not to mention, poorly equiping the first responders. @HaiLsKuNkY Chernobyl is the name of the town that the plant was in. Chernobyl town gave it's name to the plant. However they build a new town nearby the plant to house some 45000 workers which is named Pripyat.
