I was gonna ask if that's the rane empath, but I saw your comment and it is. Is the empath good? All I know from rane is that the ttm-56/57 are the greatest, I'm strongly motivated into investing into the ttm-56, but the empath is a 3 channel, which might be useful to my workstation. Did you choose the empath over the ttm models, or..you just always wanted the empath?

i never mixed with a ttm i just wanted a empath because of the 3 channels. if you dont need effects this mixer is just perfect. i love the eq its not so hard like for example djm. and i like the cue system. and you have 3 outputs. you have to test the different mixers!

Yeah I see. I mean the ttm doesn't have effects either, it's just the Favorited out of any other Rane Mixer, + I spin vinyl, so we'll leave the djm for the cdj fanboys :D

the best for me would be a ttm 57 sl because of the midi for serato. but if you just use normal vinyl any rane mixers are good. you just have to know if you need 2 oder 3 channels. i played out last night on a djm800. its a very good mixer but i like the empath much more because of the smooth eq and the cue system.

Yeah, I'm tired of using Torq, as I know Serato is 34094893 better, and I guess purchasing a 56 + serato individually would be equal if not more than just getting the 57SL. Thanks for the advice though, and the good thing is you can always get the efx machine from pioneer to go with your Rane, but I like to stay off the effects, It's not my way of mixing.
