The amateur band EverLite for Hawaiians try to make alive the Hawaiian Steel guitarmusic in the Netherlands. We hope that a new young generation of Dutch Hawaiian Steelers will be discovered in the future. The late Theo Ehrlicher in Holland master of the Hawaiian Steel in the years 1950 have written so many beautiful Hawaiian songs. Jan van Elk for more than 30 years a student of Theo play one of his compositions Polynesian Fantasy that never was played before by Steel Guitar Players.

  • Amateur? Very nice steel playing ~ pretty fair Hawaiian feel. Sounds like C6 tuning ~ but I can't identify the double neck steel although pickup looks like a Rickenbacher. Is that an old cleaned up Ricky D8? Mahalo, Unc. Kiki

    Hi Unc. Kiki,

Jan van Elk play on 2 different Hawaiian Lapsteel Guitars. The one he play on is a Jerry Bird Frypan. And in the front is a selfmade wooden frypan. It's not C6 tuning but Jan van Elk use for this song his own tuning.
