  • Nice Vid, thanks for posting! Good info to have, Cheers!

  • Thanks!

  • it does seem like a pain to uncoil but I really like the fact that you can use it in an emergency to bring someone out of the woods. Might have to use that one the girlfriend next time see has a few too many drinks, so then she does,nt choke me half to dead with a piggy back hahaha.

    Thanks for sharing

  • LOL! That is hilarious! Good luck with that one and thanks for watching!

  • It looks like it could be a pain in the a** but i do like the finishing wrap and the carrying technique, although i hope i never have to use it.

  • Yeah... it can put some pretty hard coils in the rope that are a pain...

  • If you adapt the over - under technique for alternate loops, you would not be putting a twist in the rope. See vids for wrapping audio and video cables.

  • how heavy ish is that 200ft of rope?

  • If you use "over under" to coil it won't twist/tangle.

  • nice job dude!

  • If you coupled that with the over-under that would take out the twist. Wouldn't it?

  • Ummm......using your knees as a spool is about the same as the "landlubber's" method of coiling an extension cord on one's forearm to elbow. #1: makes and alful coil. #2: there is just no need for that method.

Do a PROPER coil by coiling to your left hand, using your right-hand to make sure the coil lays correctly in your l;eft hand (no kinks or assholes)..keep same length loops. Braided coils fairly easily.

ALWAYS uncoil and fake out the rope before a belay....NEVER trust ANY coil !!

  • hahah don't get too excited.

great video. cool example with the carry-out thing too.
