This creature is from a population evolved in 3DVCE for the task of traversing a rough terrain (shown in the video).

Processing time for the evolution was kindly donated on the PC of Rob Cattral.

  • reminds me of frogs.

  • @oratadin There are a couple of very old videos on the channel with creatures that are even more froglike than this one.

  • This is the creature that moves the most similar to a walk.

  • It's perhaps the most "walker"-like from the most recent creatures, but have a look at numbers 65, 122, and 143 on the "zoo" page (follow project web site link in video description). I find they look the most like "walkers" to me, although none of them are particularly elegant walkers (although I find #122 to be pretty elegant anyway).

  • he went into orbit?

  • Lately I've been adding little fun bits at the end of some videos. In this case I switched gravity off just as the creature jumped, so it floated off into the sky :)

  • I think that is the most efficient walker I've seen, in the sense that it travels in close to a straight line and doesn't hop too far off the ground.

  • This is just pelvic thrust over and over... leaning back, then PUSH!!

  • Feynman Diagrams are a blastXD

But I had a question concerning programming again (I doubt you recall me asking you programming advice a while back, but I did ha).

Anyways, I have began learning freeBASIC because a) it's way easy, b) it's easy enough to learn with my busy schedule.

My question is, well if you are familiar with BASIC, which BASIC program would you recommend for maths programming?

Btw, are you by chance going to update the creature programming ever?

    cheers

  • I like this creature shape, I like the music and I like the ending. :)
