Fantastic details and information. Thanks!

@ezekielalanis Nearly all grapevines are hermaphroditic and will self-pollenate. A single vine is typically capable of self-pollenation and should bear fruit just fine, provided it's healthy and properly cared for.

Do I need to have 2 grape plants in order for them to pollinate? do we have male and female plants of grapes and do i need them both in order for them to give fruit? how to tell if the one (4 years old grape) is male of female?

do you need 2 separate plants to pollinate or is the vine self pollinating?

@saadpost Grapevines are self pollinating. All those flowers are “perfect” – meaning both male and female parts are there and they are in very close proximity to one another. No need for two separate plants.

How do grapes deal with Winter?
DeviantEquine 9 months ago
@DeviantEquine Grapevines are dormant during winter, so they are unharmed by freezing temperatures and rain during that time period. Once the buds break in late March, then they could be affected.
