I think I was there but the problem is that when I was 15 years old ( at the time ) I was always high so give or take this rocks and I hope I was there!

@cofree22 I don't see this as plagiarism, I see this as a tip of the hat in recognition to a founding father and a ground breaker. It isn't like Bonamassa can't play anything else! He's just having fun and exploring styles. I see nothing wrong with this and I'm sure Stevie would be very flattered. Y'all play nice now, y'hea? (Brothers)

OMG I keep saying how i hope he plays the Jazz Fest one day and I had no idea that he already has!

Ask 100 blues fans who is best and you will get just as many answers. The history of the blues has so many founders and masters it is mind numbing. Ask 100 blues fans who the best current blues player is and JB's name will come up time and time again. Simply amazing!

OMG who cares if he honors SRV by emulating him some. Pick any musician or band and I will tell you someone they have adapted a style from. Love SRV but dont you think he copied Albert & Freddie King? Shallow thinking! (Thanks to a friend who hosts a blues show) I get hundreds of demo cd's from around the country of new groups and musicians monthly. I challenge anyone to provide a specific example of someone better right now out there. Ask Buddy Guy his thoughts on JB...trust his judgment?

@sirgerry Mayer doesn't even come close to copying SRV. This is almost down right plagiarism.

HE is volume fading. When he picks the note, he rolls the volume with his little finger giving it that whailing type sound.
