Maksim Chmerkovskiy Not Engaged
Maksim Chmerkovskiy has set the record straight on what appeared to be a proposal on his part on last week's Ukrainian version of "The Bachelor."
"There was, what seemed to be the ring and everything else, but if you speak Russian, you would understand that I did not propose," Maks told Access Hollywood at the All-Star Pro Show, presented by Dance With Me Studios, in New York City on Sunday.
Maks didn't get a fiancee or a lasting relationship out of the experience and he wasn't prepared to explain why.

  • I think it was a waste of time to even do the show. Yana was hurt. You don't play with people's feelings like that. Luckily she's young and I hope she finds someone special.

  • Ok, I am ukrainian myself who live in teh United state for 10 years now. I love Yana very much she was the best girl on a show but I understand Maksim aswell who wants to have pure, passionate feelings to someone daily who would be a reason he can come home. SInce Maksim most of his life spend in the american culture ukrainian people can not undesrtand him. I experience the same stuff I go to visit Kiev. I think Maksim need look for a lady who moved to US but still have ukrainian culture in her

  • So what, exactly, happened? I dont get it. Does anyone know what was said in the actual episode? (can someone translate for me PLEASE!?) Thanks.

  • @NicoleH73 Unfortunately that seems to be the way it is on every edition of 'The Bachelor'. I think I've only seen ONE relationship that started on that show lead to marriage and children, and that was when one of the female contestants was invited back for her own version of the show, called 'The Bachelorette'.

  • @themagenta07 the bachelor was not a mistake, it was the 1st season and he make a load of cash out of it. the pub for it was huge both in ukraine and usa so he benefited from it

  • He's so hot!!!

  • @tsoltys23 lol well sorry! I can understand where you're coming from.

  • @rockykellykelso much to the dismay of many Ukrainians! Including this one!!!!

  • @tsoltys23 Russian is a common language in the Ukraine

  • Why are they speaking Russian if it's UKRAINIAN Bachelor? UGH!

  • Victory!
