Raining Baby Animals in the Nether World

This is a bug I found while playing Minecraft 1.0.0. The only mod I have installed is Millenaire, which shouldn't affect the Nether, but maybe there's something I don't know about.

It was the strangest thing because I kept on getting inexplicable lag whenever I went near the Nether Fortress, and I never knew why until now. I only recorded the video because I didn't think anyone on the forums would believe my story without video proof.

As noted, I'm not a heavy mod user; just Millenaire and nothing else for me. I'm just not sophisticated enough to mod something like this into Minecraft.
