@thatguywiththeegg Just a wee note, they don't actually have death panels in the US and they're postal service is actually better than ours (speaking from my experience anyway). But on the whole I agree with you - the NHS is a great system which well out-weighs the US private system =)

@IconifiedEpic lol, there is no better postal service than in Britain, it always shocks me when I realise how bad it can be elsewhere (from personal experiance in the US, several european countries and Australia) - don't try and take away one of the few things we can actually say that about!

@5H4K490 one of the problems is that many Americans do not trust their government to implement a health care system. They have destroyed the economy by over spending and corruption. Many of us fear it will even be worse if Washington DC gets involved. They could solve a lot of the health care problem by just giving taxpayers a a large tax credit so so we can afford to buy the insurance. That would eliminate Washington getting their grimey dirty hands on it and screwing it all up

@inkey2 thats because americas health care is great for those have the money for it, but that dosnt excuse the fact that millions of people in america die because there not covered that alone is reason enough to change it, the very best doctors who are out to make big money go to the private sector and that is what america is a medical system that is runned but the market not by the government and the market is there to make money so those who dont have money dont matter to the market.

The British health service is one of thev finest in the world and paid for through taxation.

You might have to wait a while for some treatments but not Emergency treatments.

In America 45,000 people die each year because they cannot get treatment due to lack of Insurance, something that could never happen in Britain.

No doubt the American medical ins company's and lobby's will try to rubbish the NHS.

the moment a wealthy Brit gets very sick....cancer for example...they hop the fastest jet to the usa......I constantly hear about wealthy brits, celebs etc seeking care in the USA. Example.....Beatle George Harrison, Linda McCartney, Ringo Stars daughter with brain cancer.
