I have the bose system with the 6 CD charger but no onStar. Is that still necessary ?

@steppenwolf95 the cheaper way to try it.. try to install an aftermarket radio in (pioneer, sony, boss, etc) if you dont hear sounds with all the proper wires hook up than you need to buy the adapter. hope help

how is the sound after that?? is it just normal how its suppose to be? im trying to install a kenwood headunit and i have no sound cause of the onstar

@MarioRSXS the sound is normal like it was when the factory cd player was in it. you will keep ur onstar and the speakers will play
