For all the 30,000 (on average) sikh pilgrims that visit the Golden Temple each day, a free meal is on offer. The meal includes dal, chapati and a glass of water and you can eat as much as you want.
For this amazingly big community kitchen some cleaning needs to be done.

  • Everything comes out of respect for sikh religion. We respect our Guru, by respecting our Guru we respect each other and do service of 'Langar" and "Sava" meaning washing up. "Sikhs live by the word of our Guru by receiting God's name and praising God".
