My favorite PC ever!

I am loving Wndows 7, Micro$oft has really done a great job of making windows fun again. So many new features and it's fast and stable. I have Windows 7 running on this machine, but when I need real work done...

I reboot into something that is equally fast and even more stable. Something that is completely customizable and loads of high quality applications for any job you coulees want. It's especiaily strong in the video and audio arena.




This my friends, is Linux, Linux Mint to be accurate. Running the Gnome desktop and Compiz effects. The effects are cool and while I can live without them, they coexist and play well with most other software. Did I mention, it's all free?

Not so scary now is it?

I use Linux exclusively at home and to a large extent at work and completely agree with you. Unfortunately, I am responsible for our company roll-out of Win7 and was dreading the prospect. Surprisingly, Win 7 is quite usable and not the nightmare vista would have been! My wife is on Mint 10 and has no desire to upgrade.

Anything Windows 7 can do, Linux Mint 11 and Linux Mint 12 can do better. The only thing I like about Windows 7 is that it can run Wubi.exe and Win4Mint.exe.
