    Oh btw, kudos on the use of anti-american generalisations. That always raises the bar when you're trying to establish you're Distinction in analysing popular culture.

  • It may predominantly be gobshite, but there's nothing making anyone watch it. If that was how TV media was then I think it'd be fair to get more annoyed about it. Besides, who knows; some day in 100 years time there may be social historians trawling through youtube archives to try ascertain what were the dominant discourses in our particular era? A more democratic glimpse at the lives of the average person, considering history and news has typically been produced by more dominant classes...
