A live shot of the crowds waiting at the fabled Newport Pagnell services on the M1 to see the Hearse go past.

There are more on location interviews with members of the British Public on their reaction to the day's events, this time from Exeter and then again from Blackpool.

It was at this stage we started pausing the tape to ensure we got the moment the hearse arrived at althorp. The interviews seemed to be going on a bit long, the reporter in Exeter especially lacks charm.

We cut to see the Queen's Car as she headed back to RAF Northolt in West London to get the plane back to Balmoral. We know from the Peter Morgan movie this meant her time in London for Diana's funeral was around twenty-four hours.

We then catch up with the hearse after it has left the M1 at junction 15A to go through the English country villages to make it to Diana's childhood home.

  • Thanks to the person who has uploaded all this on You Tube must of taken ages to do. One of those moments in History you don't forget Diana's funeral.

  • Thanks. It did indeed take ages, if you look at the upload date for part 1 and then compare it with part 39, you'll get an idea of how long it took!

  • @lakelandchief It's a tribute - a way of saying, "Thanks for the memories," if you will. It's a final act of respect and gratitude.

  • @lakelandchief they are clapping to say well done i think. it's a respectfull way of saying thank you and well done
