Opening Day Gambel's Quail Hunt Arizona

http://www.AZQuailHunter.com - Opening Day October 2009 Quail Hunt. Today I took a half day and headed up North for some opening day Gambel's Quail. We found a bunch of birds. The entire hunt was basically within 1/2 mile of my truck, even though there was still some good walking. We chased singles and small groups of birds around and kept running into new big covey's of birds. My young Pointer named Johnny did a great job once he realized what he was out there for. It was fun to see him finally point his first wild bird.

Hello,

We're mostly hunting near the central part of the state...east of the valley. I don't get out after Gambel's much near Tucson, so I'm not really sure where to go down there. Find water - find birds.

what area of az are you guys hunting my dad and i are looking for them but havent found much it my frist year out for quail ive got 2 we hunt outa tucson if you know ant good areas pleas let us know.
