From 1995 studio rehearsals. Amazing riff/song, shame that it was never made or released.

  • This would have made A GREAT song, it is a shame the band went in the direction they did after Melancholie & the infinite sadness! I really don't like Ava Adore, even as a huge Smashing Pumpkins fan...

  • Yeah, it's pretty killer riff IMHO.

  • where'd this come from???

  • Well, I don't really remember anymore. From some website years ago.

  • Yeah, it does suck that Billy isn't interested in repeating himself over and over like AC/DC and Aerosmith, constantly making albums with same formula as Siamese Dream and Mellon Collie. Such a shame that he aims to move forward, instead of staying the same place, or falling backwards, or just making music that other people want him to make, instead of what he wants to make.

    Such a damn shame.

  • I think that since the Pumpkins ARE interested in progressing forward, that's what makes them so versatile. You can find any album of theirs and it'll match a certain mindset. It's not a damn shame. There are too many bands who stay complacent and not enough that try to innovate and improve themselves.

  • I truly believe that Mellon Collie could have been a much greater album, and all you "die-hard" fans that disagree are only kidding yourselves.

  • Man, camera technology has really come a long way since '95

  • @getheroutofthetruck no shit, I agree, I could have been listening to this instead of Alanis Morissette on the radio back then.

  • Just a mater of time before 90's alternative/ grunge starts making a comeback in the trendy department.

  • monster riff

  • honestly, i think adore has way more than stood up over the years. every song is great. no filler. even machina(1 and 2) i find rather incredible. personally, my favorite era is the gish/sd time. but, that's youth. it can't last. they changed...sure, but that time was by far my favorite. however, the songs that came after were pretty consistent for some time after that. overall...amazing band. so all over the place...yet, they have SUCH a distinct sound. that's rare.

  • i wonder if this is where mastodon got their idea for colony of birchmen lol

  • I don't understand why JND777 got so many negative votes.... i almost agree with him. I only liked Gish, Siamese Dream, Mellon Collie, and Adore. But after that the band went downhill. I am a huge Pumkins fan too, and that's just my opinion. you don't need to agree, but it doesn't mean you have to dislike me or my comment for it.

  • fuck... the riffs they made during that era give me chills
