Using webcam input as a texture to simulate more immersive reflections. To reinforce the illusion I just sticked plastic fisheye lens (from cheap peephole viewer) - see: http://img46.imageshack.us/img46/5769/alim5512b.jpg .

It has probably been done a milion times before, but I just wanted see what would that look like and, for a quick hack, it turned out pretty cool.
Wouldn't it be nice if standard pictures on the web, elements of gui could be fitted with specular and normal map and rendered using this effect?

  • @shiftri LOL then you arent Steve Jobs. Imagine when the iphone 10 comes out and the only real upgrade from 9 will be this ability incorporated into the OS.

  • Cool but I don't see how that could ever possibly be useful.
