  • it makes a huge difference if it is hyperplasia or an adenoma ! not because they might turn into cancer but because if your hyperparathyroidism is due to an hyperplasia, usually you have to take out at least 3 (or 3 and a half) of the parathyroid glands. when you know that it is an adenoma you can leave the other glands where they are
