Through the Waves [Ukulele Original]

THE SONG IS NOT 9 MINUTES LONG.

Finally uploading a video! Still not pleased with how my voice has been misbehaving these past few months, but I got it to cooperate a little bit tonight and made a video in honour of my one-year with Zamba (and a day late, as is my style; she doesn't mind) and myself for getting through two big deadlines.

Also: if you have any songs you think I'd like or music you think I should look into, please let me know! I'm in a let's-open-up-the-musical-taste phase and am upgrading my symbolic plate size.

It has come to my attention

The sun was thrilled to see me
And it greeted me quite bright.
It touched and brushed and burned me
Until I was out of sight.

Mammals jumping through the waves,

I learned that sand is itchy
Between fingers, toes and clothes.
If there's a niche or nook
That is where the sand will go.

I felt how oceans push you
In the way the waves desire.
I found myself far down the beach
And had to hike up higher.

Hermit crabs are lovely friends,
Named Herman or Sir Bradford.
They crawl and hide within your hand
And gladly hop aboard.

But over their heads I saw
Dolphins gliding through the waves,
Sleek bodies sliding through the waves,
Mammals jumping through the waves,
Playful bumping through the waves,
Leaving us in awe.

Great song and great singing and playing! Me too, about perfectionism. It just gets to be too wearing. With videos, if I only make one mistake, usually it's staying in. I am *not* a fan of many retakes! :-)

Even when I don't make noticeable mistakes, I never end up thinking I did well enough. Well I'm about ready to let that change, I'll tell you that!

I do love the Happily Ever Now concept! My friend from hippie camp gave me that shirt because it's rainbow and she knew I loved rainbow. :)

I have not recovered yet. But I like to think I am recovering! And my trick presently is not to hope for Perfect Recovery from Perfectionism, because then I'm just back where I started! Thank you for the luck and compliments!

Actress on the side? You know, enough people have mentioned that to me that I'm beginning to raise my eyebrow! Acting certainly has its appeals. :) Perhaps I'll be an ecologist writer teacher who acts!
