Yknow I've heard all three versions, this one, Waits' version and Cash's version. I don't know if its just because this was the first one I heard or what, but I think this one is the best. Just cause Waits and Cash are both musicians of near mythic quality doesn't necessarily mean they cant be outdone. Before I die, I will see Dustin Kensrue live.

Good version. I like Waits' version the best, but I think this one is better than Cash's.
