  • As someone who loves Steve Reich...this is great!

  • @artsyg33k Thanks !!!!!

  • FANTASTIC!!!!<3

  • @begejstring Thanks !!!!!

  • I'm having a hard time telling if you are actually phasing the loops or simply repeating them. If you are phasing them, could you let me know how to do it? I am currently trying to do an audio piece in the style of Steve Reich for an Art class, but I have not been able to phase any of the fragments that I have managed to loop on Audacity. Thank you in advance for your help.

  • @writersblock26 In the first track, I repeated the basic block 100 times or so (and then repeated it 120 times (using effect-repeat). In the second track I just copy and pasted the mega block followed by the transition block and then repeated it 20 times. That created the phasing effect. In the second part I did additional manipulations.

  • @writersblock26 Oh, I was phasing, if you can't hear it then I obviously did something wrong :-(. Anyway: I used Audacity for the piece. I first cut the basic block and then created a mega-block that includes 5 repetitions of the basic block. I also created a transition block that included the basic block, but speeded up by 5%, without pitch change (by effect-change tempo).

  • @PipePuffer Thanks a lot !! I appreciate this

  • Don't know enough about Israeli politics to put this in context, but it's a superb aural nod of the hat to Steve Reich. Congratulations.
