  • @Kodalo No. it's latin for "Sea-valley" or "Mariner's Valley".

  • @marth1800 You could see the bottom. It can reach up to 25,000 ft deep - you can see the ground from an airplane travelling much higher than that. It's still pretty unreal, though.

  • NASA World Wind has been around longer than googles version : clearer - cleaner, more features; google mars bites

  • Valles Marineris is by far the most impressive thing i have ever seen!
