Social workers come out there and get you into motels, churches come out like 13 times a day and give you food,Buses come out and take you to the shelters. There are hundfreds of shelters in all of Los Angeles. Maximum stay at each is 30 days. Do the math. You cajn live free asnd eat free for a whole year!

@primoknoxville They'll be in that same position one day because it's always say "What the Lord giveth, the Lord can also taketh away."

i guess the music was a bit cynical meant,to add to the picture of how black and white it really can be overthere.I sometimes do wish i was more rich, but then to give more away.No wonder they rather don't see me end up with a richer man.Imagine me asking to use some of his bank account for a better cause than corruption and ego tripping.I love the people on Skid Row.God Bless them all.

Where are all the rich celebritys when you need them.
That elated music doesn´t really fit to these sad pictures. That´s the flip side of the American dream - the nightmare of it. It wouldn´t be an unsolved problem for a long time, here in Europe.

Actually, the music is in the blues genre, entitled "Black & Blue" by renowned Atlanta blues pianist, Gene Harris. I am sure he did not intend it to be "elated" music and I didn't get that feel from it at all.
I agree that Europe is a much more humane environment and a well-organized society than the U.S. Not as innovative or socially mobile, though, but not everyone thinks that is such a great trade-off.

We all need to stop being so judgmental and quit averting our eyes when we see others suffering. We need to be the vehicles for God's love and not the instruments of Satan's cruelty and hatred. Think about it. Every day we are given choices to help or to ignore. Everything done on this earth will require an accounting to Jesus - how will you measure up when it's your turn????
