It helps to have a famous Dad, lots of money from Mom and professional studio musicians to help you. They made Gary the vocalist to capitalize on Jerry Lewis's fame but had to double track and overdub hm and even add basic vocal tracks of another singer. They used session musicians led and produced by Leon Russell. Thanks to Dad they got on Ed Sullivan but when it came time to sing live on they couldn't reproduce the sound so he sang live over the pre-recorded tracks. Great pop music but.....

This record debuted the week of December 11, 1965 and peaked at #3 over a 12 week chart run. Rock doesn't get much better than this. Sheer romantic euphoria!

@ElliottoGlovera That and I just love this classic style over things like Justin Bieber and every other rapper or pop singer.

These were the days: Music and TV that isn't filled to the rim with cussing, sexual content, etc. I LOVE THIS SONG!

Yes vinyl was so....living, warm. Unlike CD's. All perfection and coldness, sterile.
