In my opinion Justin and Mick Harris are the only ones that made it out of the old grind core scene that still makes good music and not wack ass 70's stoner metal.

I honestly don't see why people call this 'boring'....sure, it's slow. It's not gonna be like Napalm Death or anything. But that's kinda what separates it and makes it a bit more interesting, frankly.

@dunnotshake Jesu is not Hebrew. In Hebrew it is Yeshua.
-
If it helps, the way you guys are saying the name of the band is pronounced "Yeah-soo" is the word in Greek for cheers, or salud.
-
Dammit, this followed by Neurosis is the most depressing songset I've listened to all night! ;P It's a pity party, and you're all invited!
-
This... is boring. And kind of sloppy. But I'm willing to give them a few more tries.
-
Fun fact: This is probably the concert that Mark Kozelek attended, the Sun Kil Moon and Red House Painters guy who signed Jesu to his record label.

@MasterKrispy01 you can listen to the Godflesh song Jesu off the Hymns album for the pronounciation. Cheers!

Justin IS A GENIUS!
-
@MasterKrispy01 in the song "Jesu" by Godflesh (Broadrick's last band before this one) he pronounces it something "yea soo". The Godflesh album with "Jesu" on it is "hymns". I'm sure somebody posted the song on youtube. I know it's a year since you posted this but had to put in my two cents.

Jesu has a stage presence and quality akin to Joy Division. Mesmerizing.

Wait a minute. Is Jesu pronounced "JAY-SOO" or "HAY-SOO" or what?

@kukinho666 yes, but Jesu is "jesus" in Hebrew... And the first time I heard "jesu" pronounced Yee-zoo, was in a "Reality Asylum", a song by Crass, one of Justin's fav. punk bands.
