John brings his coarse and match fishing skills to the sea where he lands this wily and often termed "uncatchable" species with uncanny regularity !

  • For surface fishing we use bread flake or crust fished right on the surface, for fishing deeper we use small pieces of mackerel.

  • Did you catch them with bread on a hook ?

I have tried bread around the mullet were i live and they never bite it.

  • @Andy9skill Yeah sure, nice pinch of white flake on a size 6 hook, there are areas where they don't take bread all that readily, might be worth trying a piece of mackerel. If you are using bread it helps to catapult out plenty of free samples about the size you would use on a hook, this gets them on to it. Use fine line 6-8lb. Good luck.
