What happens when a car hits a pole at just 18mph

Poles, posts and lampposts should always have safety fences around them. Even modern cars are only tested at 18mph.

@theonetitty Really! This is a sideways impact at 18mph. its not a car going at 18mph forward hitting a tree at 90 degrees. you would have to be moving quite a bit faster forward to impact sideways at 18 mph.

@hitssquad Well old sir, I had shit to do. I was driving at around 1am to pick up my mother, and step father at a mexican resteraunt. I went to three different places, and couldn't find theirs. I was planned a threesome that night, and I was ready to get them home so I could leave. Then I hit the pole, and had to call for a pickup. Some VJ later that night got my mind off things, and made me feel somewhat better. So no it wasn't a joke, shit happens.

That's supposed to be a joke, right? If your contacts were interfering with your vision, why didn't you pull over to the side of the road and stop? Because that's something a 30-year-old would do, and not a 16-year-old?

@hitssquad Not true. When I hit my pole at about 15mph it was the passenger side of my front bumper. I'm a great driver BTW. My right contacts was messing up, and anyone who wears contacts knows how bad that sucks when you really need your vision. So when I say "that pole came out of no where." I actually mean according to my eyes, that pole came out of no where. You see I always drive fast. cruising at 95mph on the highway is fun. So to me speed kills, but going slow is what gets you.
