The night ended and morning came. Demi woke up at around 6:20 this morning and decided to make breakfast, even though she has never used her kitchen, not counting the microwave. She has always been that fast food, freezer food person because she's always in a rush. After an hour of cooking she ended up with burnt toast, two bowls of Cheerios, and microwaved pre made pancakes. Trace woke up, around 7:40, to the smell of burnt toast and came running into the kitchen. "Where's the fire?!" he said frantically. Demi sighed and sat down as she pounded the dish towel on the table. "I tried to make breakfast..." she said upset. Trace took another chair and sat next to her. "We both know you can't cook and you know I can't cook so why don't we go out for breakfast?" Trace said while he was patting Demi's back. "We always go out I wanted to actually cook something for once! Don't you want a wife that can cook?" Demi said nervously and irritated. "Um..well sure but it's fine if we go out." He replied. "I guess we can go out but can we go out for lunch? I wanna go out with my friends first." Demi said. Trace nodded and stood up to get his jacket. "I'll be back around...um 2ish?" He said as he headed for the door. Trace stopped and walked back to Demi and gave her a kiss on the forehead. "Bye."
I got into the shower, got dressed, brushed my teeth and headed off to my car. Once I got in I pulled out my cell phone and texted Joe. 'Hey I'm coming over. Got some big news. (: text me your address.' I then waited for his reply and in a few minutes I got it. '27 Oakwood Drive' I started my car and drove to his house. I knocked on his door and once he opened it I yelled out, "I'm getting married!" His eyes widened and it didn't seem like he was happy. I didn't notice but he had a rough beard and mustache. He honestly looked like a mess. I looked at him puzzled and asked him, "Uh...Joe? Are you okay?" He pressed his lips together and answered, "Uh...yeah. Do you, uh, do you want something to eat?" I nodded and said, "Sure. What do you have?" As I walked in the smell of pancakes, bacon and eggs got me hooked. "That smells really good!" I said calmly and mellow. He laughed and replied, "Do you want some? It's fresh, just finished cooking it literally a few seconds ago." I smiled and took a seat at the table. "So, you cook now?" I said teasing him. Joe took two plates out and put each portion onto the plates. He laid one plate in front of me and the other in front of him. "I've always knew how to cook. I just never wanted to." He said as he sat down. I flashed another smile at him and took a bite of the bacon. "Mmmm." I then stuff my mouth with some eggs. "I'm guessing you like it?" He said chuckling at me as he took a bite of the pancakes. I nodded my head, "Mhmm." I said with my mouth full. I shallowed and decided to bring up my engagement. "So...um...you didn't really react well to my news about my engagement..." I said playing with my food. "Um..I'm gonna get some milk. Do you want some?" Joe said nervously as he stood up. I looked at him puzzled and nodded. "Um...sure. Joe?" I said confused. "Yeah Dems?" He said reaching for the milk carton at the back of the fridge. "Are you okay? You've been avoiding my news." He poured the milk into two glasses and brought them back to the table. "What news?" He said trying to act dumb.
