I don't mind the movie doesn't stay 100% true to the book. It seems that you care about the movie to be exactly like the book. Then you might as well not watching the movie all.

Other than that, the movie doesn't have have good director, the right music, or good acting. The movie is too short for the book and the biggest problem is the script in my opinion.

I also agree with they added parts that didnt need to be. Like the beginnig witht the deer. I mean really? Did they need to add that part? I agree with the Alice part she is my favorite character. She is just awesome. Her and Emment didn't get the service they deserved.

yeah that deer scene wasn't nessacery. they could have used that time to tell the stories of the paintings.

I am a twilight series fan too and I agree with what you are saying. I can see why they did what they did. They cut a lot of back story out to please the "new" audience because to them it would feel too slow and they added a lot of small things (like the fan/biology reference and the apple) in order to appease the book fans. I feel they were trying to please both audiences and ended up leaving both unsatisfied. Idk what they could have done to satisfy both, because each wants different things.

While there were many parts that were different from the book, there is one thing all should realize: I watched an interview with stephanie meyer about a week or two ago and she herself said that she liked the cast that was chosen because they appeared the way she pictured them as she wrote the books. Twilight wouldn't have even existed without her, people! Her opinion as the author is important.

Yeah and if you read MS you find out Edward and Emmett actually got Ben to ask Angela out. But in the movie I believe they wanted to keep the cast to a minimum so having her date Eric was just handy and because it was not a big thing they didn't care.

I agree with you that they should have focused more on the other characters. Hopefully they will more in New Moon and Eclipse. Well, at least in Eclipse because they'll have to focus on Rosalie and Jasper (telling their pasts). I'm really excited for them to tell Jasper's past because in the end he meets Alice! :)
