WARNING: MAJOR SPOILERS for the movie, Jane Eyre (2011)!

I love watching period dramas, they make me all melty, its just too beautiful for words! :D

I watched quite a few of Jane Austen's book adaptations and of course, "Pride and Prejudice", which I adore. And Charlotte Bronte's books, oh my gosh... Wuthering Heights (personally really love the one where Tom Hardy is playing Heathcliff) and Jane Eyre are my favorites! I cried in both!

(Dunno if this is true but Wiki is saying Kaya Scodelario aka Skin's Effy is gonna be in a new adaptation of Wuthering Heights, 2012! Eep, excited! Hope she plays Cathy!)

So I was overly excited to find out that Michael Fassbender played Mr. Rochester in the new adaptation of Jane Eyre!

A good (not quite HQ but decent enough) quality finally came out so I watched it... and couldn't resist making this afterwards.
If you like Jane Eyre, you gotta check this version out... its gorgeous! :D

++ And before you ask, the bits that are HQ are all from trailers & preview clips so no, I do not have a high-definition copy of Jane Eyre yet. *sighs sadly* August needs to change its name to June or July. :P

+ Also noticed they cut a few scenes from the movie that were included in the official trailer! Eeek, I hope they include more scenes of Jane and Mr. Rochester in the deleted scenes section!

  • This was a very beautiful video. I have been watching it over and over again. Jane eyre is my favorite novel and this movie is just amazing, I also love Jane Austen, do you have any other period dramas to recommend?

  • @Skywalker598 Oh thank you so much! <3 It always makes me happy to receive comments as sweet as yours! :) As for recommendations, I would say Wuthering Heights, the one with Tom Hardy and Charlotte Riley (2009). Although the ending is sad the drama itself is very well-made I think. Also North and South is good too at some bits, although perhaps not as dramatic as Jane Eyre. But I'll let you decide that one for yourself! ;) *winks*

  • They're just PERFECT. Exactly how I pictured them to be when I was reading the novel, and that's no easy task. Your editing is beautiful and glorifies the film. Thank you for making this. <3

  • @hautxtalons Oooh thank you so kindly for your comment! <3 :) Yes indeed, they are really perfect for their roles! :P I love the film, its so beautiful! <3 x)

  • This is absolutely beautiful. How did you overlap the scenes that way? They were talking while other scenes fromt he movie were playing, how did you do that? I've been trying and i don't know how.

  • @socertiger13 Ooh hello! :) Firstly, I want to say thank you for your kind words! :) It means a lot! :)

I usually take the audio from the clip and them overlap it on the audio section below the video so when you play it (although the original audio isn't in-sync with the source clip), it flows together. I hope that helps!

  • The part at the end has to be my favorite part ever. Beautiful words. If only we spoke like that now.

  • Beautiful.

  • I only just watched this last night and can't get enough of it so I'm watching your video as the movie was only lent to me. Thanks for posting!

  • I'm crying.. :(

  • Lovely video, thank you! I don't think the acting is as good as the 2006 version (which is amazing!), but I have to say, she's brilliant at doing an Engish accent!

  • @Doo7ati3

This takes place in a time when it would be inappropriate to do so.

  • Beautiful video!! Thanks!!

  • Best Jane Eyre Video on Youtube.. Hands down!
