Snorkling in the Red Sea. Makadi Bay is 25 km south of Hurghada. Just north of the Grand Makadi resort (500 m) the reefs are nearly untouched by humans.
Filmed in AVCHD with Panasonic underwater photo camera Lumix DMC-FT2 in 720 HD. Edited with Pinnacle 14. Sound from YouTube. From in total 28 min material only 10 min left as more or less acceptable. Moving on the waves as snorkler make a steady shot nearly impossible. Nevertheless, I hope you enjoy.

  • Thanks for watching and enjoy the red sea. If you are on the edge of the resort area, go beyond, as they have made lots of coral areas forbidden. We were at Grand Makadi and Makadi Palace, which is on the north end side of the Bay. On Google Earth you will find there pictures from Schiphol, which is me again.

  • @schiphol104 Really nice! We're going there (Hotel Grand Makadi) in about a months time. Is it easy to access the area you show in the video? Is it just to walk along the beach to get there?

  • Really good quality vid and some lovely fish there, am hoping to get out to Makadi Bay later this year!
