i used to live about a mile away from that rail tracks

You can see steam engine train in some part of India like Matheran-Mah State, Dhabhoi- Vadodara-Guj, Darjeeling north India. other some places running but other all train changed to electric, diesal trains. Whisting of steam train very lovely.

Yeah, I don't know exactly where it was, it's the spot north of town right where highway 95 joins the tracks. Your right, you do never see steam trains anymore, that's why I drove out there from Boise to see one.
