David Archuleta sings "Imagine" on American Idol's Top 9 Results Show, April 7, 2010

David Archuleta returns to American Idol on the Beatles tribute week. He sings the hit song "Imagine".
David was showing off his new hair style, and promoting his new single and album, although he did not mention his upcoming book, "Chords Of Strength" which is coming June 1, 2010.

On this night David Archuleta became a Trending Topic on Twitter for over three hours, taking Justin Bieber out of the trending topics chart.

So many fans are so happy because he is finally back, and we hope David keeps this up.

@fer13900 i agree with you about ellen. it was obvious that she was rooting for david cook at that time and in fact was trying to persuade people to vote for Cook instead of Archie and using her show as a vehicle to do just that. She kept on pounding on simon too about being rude to contestants. I am wondering how she felt now that she's on that show as a judge!...you tell me! Well, i will always be an archie fan no matter what!

Apparently title doesn't mean much to Fox/ai show. Cook & Chris can have the title, they brought back Adam (2nd runner up) as a mentor. Kelly Clarkson (seasoned successful artist) or Carrie Underwood (award winning successful artist) would have been better first choice and would have elevated the reputation of the show. Adam is flashy entertainer and the show wanted a boost while moving away from actual singing contest.

When it comes to vocals, Archuleta is the best.

@anino29 they were never did became into the level that they were neck to neck it was a clear DAVID ARCHULETA win ....but you know the producers of AI are so lame.....the judges made it look that they were neck to neck..but they never were.

Well, they made 74,000 views and 97,000 views of David's return to ai show videos disappear. this and thop1984 videos remain. ha ha, deceptive negative control. fans notice. They don't want us to remember David has many high view videos of this guest appearance.

David elevates the american idol show but they don't appreciate. David has an appeal they don't understand. They only want to use and control negatively. David is an unique artist/songwriter who has achieved success in spite of their hindrance. They don't understand David's star quality/appeal, yet drawn to want to control it. Duh, David will prevail, his star soars ahead. The show is in trouble & they don't know howto fix it.
